Sales Engineer Service

You are the active link between our customers abroad and our organization from the very beginning. With your technical insight and commercial attitude, you are the one who picks up customer questions immediately, analyzes them and translates them into concrete solutions.

What will you do?

From Schelluinen you organize the worldwide service to our customers. With other service colleagues, you are responsible for the implementation and further development of our service policy. As a Sales Engineer you are a technical encyclopedia, you are close to the customers and know how to combine this well with the internal organization. You are the first point of contact for customer questions, switch quickly, and take responsibility for working out quotations and investigating complex issues. With your analytical skills and helicopter view, you know how to set priorities and identify areas for improvement. In addition, you actively contribute to the professionalization of our department and the optimization of business processes. You report to the Service Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Point of contact for customers worldwide with (service) questions and actively relieve them in the operational process.
• Identify customer needs and translate them into commercial opportunities (cross- and upselling).
• Issue quotes and translate customer needs into technical solutions.
• Research (complex) issues to provide customers with the best service.
• Actively monitor offers and follow up leads to order.
• Initiate and implement process improvement proposals to further professionalize the department and organization.
• Keep customers and colleagues connected on progress and informed about relevant market information.

What do you bring?

• MBO4+ working and thinking level in a commercial or technical field.
• Several years of experience in coordinating service and maintenance.
• Experience in the organization of service delivery of technical products.
• Strong focus on customer orientation, combined with an analytical eye.
• Commitment, result orientation and creativity in finding solutions.
• Good communication skills and good knowledge of the Dutch and English languages (German is an advantage).
• The desire and drive to keep learning and developing yourself.

• Fixed-term appointment with the intention of converting it to a permanent contract.
